On March 11, 2011, a massive 8.9 earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit Japan, causing widespread destruction.
The Student Council of RIS, has decided to reach out and raise funds to provide relief to those affected by the disaster. They will be hosting a Student Council Bake Sale. All proceeds raised will go directly to a Japanese disaster relief fun of the Student Councils choice.
If you or your child would like to donate a baked good (such as cookies or a small treat) the student council would greatly appreciate your time and effort. Please bake accordingly so that all students and families can enjoy them!
The fundraiser will be held on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th during parent-teacher conferences. If you would like to bake something, please send it with your child Friday morning.
Ms. Friel will be overseeing and helping the students organize this event.
Let’s join together and help out our neighbors during a time of need. The student council suggested this fundraiser, I am so proud of what great community leaders RIS has!
