These are the things you
would have seen and heard at RIS's Family Day last Saturday, May 12.
The
event began at about 10 a.m. and was held at a field near the school.
Students and their families from both RIS and the kindergarten campus
joined together to share the day-long event. First, the kindergarten
P.E. teachers warmed up the crowd with some
silly exercises and dances.
Then families were free to wander from
station to station to try activities like limbo, potato sack races, and
penalty kicks at the soccer net. A tasty lunch of pizza, kimbap, and
Saffron (a mouthwatering local restaurant) was served following the
morning activities. On the bill for the afternoon was a nail-biting
relay race, a magic show, and loads of free play and relaxing. A good
time was had by all!
