MS Weekly ESLRs Awards

Nahan and Haruka demonstrate the qualities of proactive and independent learners who assess a problem as it forms and works to solve it.  When they heard about the disaster that occurred in Japan, they immediately stepped forth to figure out a way that they could assist those in need.  Their efforts are commendable!

MS Weekly ESLRs Awards

Alaa [Gr.7] displays the characteristics of a proactive learner who works to address difficulties when they become apparent.  She independently took the initiative to discuss ways to improve her Language Arts progress.  Great job!

Dalia[Gr.7] displays the characteristics of a socially responsible person by undertaking environmental stewardship.
She cleans whole the classroom up after she finished her own project. Good Job Dalia!
From Ms. Friel...
  • Mutahar, Burack, Saud, Fatima, Dalia, Alaa, Yasmin[Gr.7] are capable, self-reliant, and self-motived. This student showed they were able to retain information learned in class as well as  applying it to current events.
  • Osama, Bassam[Gr.8] showed interest and effort in class. Enthusiasm and motivation has improved. Keep up the great work!

Weekly MS ESLRs Award winners

From Ms. Kim... 

Osama[Gr.8] deserves to get an ESLRs award this week as a healthy individual. He makes Grade 8 to have art class in a clean environment by cleaning the auditorium up by himself every week after the class. Thanks Osama! 

From Ms. Friel...
  • Mutahar [Gr.7]showed self-reliance and self-motivation. Researched content on the beginning of the Roman Empire and was able to contribute to class discussions.
  • Nahan [Gr.8]  comprehended the importance of honesty, fair-mindedness, and justice during a disagreement among younger students. 
 From Ms. Hyojin...
  • Jumana [Gr.7] is an independent learner who is self-motivated. Also she's socially responsible person who follow the class rules and school rules very well.
  • Howard[Gr.6] looks very quiet student. But once he understand the assessment he tries his best, especially for writing. His writing is so clean and nice. Even he need to be more dynamic communicator, he is a lifelong learner.

  • Michel[Gr.7] and Burak[Gr.7] display characteristics of socially responsible individuals who undertake environmental stewardship.  Both students took an initiative to assist the teachers in the field trip by helping to pick up trash.  Their positive attitude and responsible behavior is commendable!
  • Osama[Gr.8] is demonstrating an initiative to become a more proactive student in the classroom.  He has made an effort to be aware of an issue and has been proactive to overcome the difficulty.  Keep up the good work!

  • All Grade 8 Students  have achieved the 'effective communicator award ' as they used technology to extract information ,organise information and made  a presentation.
  • Mutahar, Burak, Michel, Fatima, Kauthar, and Hani[Gr.7] have achieved the 'effective communicator award ' as they used technology to extract information, organise information and made  a presentation.
  • Jumana[Gr.6] is INDEPENDENT LEARNER . She  has shown the characteristic of 'self motivated learner ' by making the model of lungs even before it was explained in the class.

  • Neha[Gr.8] is effective communicator . she uses technology as a communication tool.
  • Haruka[Gr.8] formulates and pursue goals as life long learners .She is capable , self reliant and self motivated.
  • Hanafiffy[Gr.8] is capable communicator who uses technology effectively for communication .
  • Bassam[Gr.8] is progressing towards becoming self motivated and developing attitudes needed to be successful at school.

  • Mutahar[Gr.7] displays the qualities of a socially responsible individual who strives to serve in the Middle School.  Often times when Language Art classes end, Mutahar takes the initiative to pick up after people and maintain the tidiness of the classroom.  Great effort! 
  • Michel[Gr.7] is a socially responsible individual who works to create a positive, caring environment in the Language Arts classroom.  He puts forth a positive effort to help others when they face difficult situations.  Great job!
  • Jumana[Gr.6] has outstanding class behavior. She is self-reliant and self-motivated. Very hard worker and focused on excelling in her studies.
  • Burak[Gr.7] for the past 2 weeks has helped to re-shelve the books in the library. His small  gesture was appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

  • Nahan, Fiffy, and Haruka[Gr.8] demonstrate the qualities of  Dynamic Communicators who are able to express linguistic diversity in their writing.  Their analysis of a poem for Language Arts demonstrated a mastery in understanding of the various poetic devices that were studied thus far.  Excellent work!  
  • Mert[Gr.6] displays the qualities of a natural leader who practices responsibility, courtesy, and service.  He enthusiastically volunteered to help a new student around the school and made sure that they fit in to the new environment.  His leadership skills are commendable!

  • Saleh [Gr.6] displays the qualities of a lifelong learner. He is not hesitant in asking a teacher additional questions when he does not fully understand his homework. He set a good example for other students. 
  • Fatima A [Gr.7] displays the characteristics of a socially responsible person. She strived to serve and undertook environmental stewardship by wiping the tables in the science lab after the class was over.

  • Burak [Gr.8] displays the characteristics of an independent learner. He is often self-motivated to complete his assignments in a timely manner in class, and his enthusiasm  for his work in Language Arts is commendable. Great Job!

  • Mert [Gr.6] displays the characteristics of a lifelong learner who is open to learning new things everyday.  In his writing for Language Arts class, he openly discussed his past experiences and was willing to learn from it.  Great job!
